How a marketplace private offer works
Tell us the marketplace
Which cloud you commit to (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud), the IBM product and roughly what you need.
We prepare the offer
First Light registers the deal with IBM and builds the private offer with IBM's authorized cloud aggregator. You see the price before anything is accepted.
You accept in your console
Accept the private offer in your AWS, Azure or Google Cloud account. The charge appears on your cloud bill and counts toward your commitment where the marketplace allows it.
Drawdown rules are set by each cloud provider and depend on your agreement and the listing. Microsoft counts every dollar of MACC-eligible marketplace purchases; Google Cloud applies 100% of qualifying channel private offers up to the cap in your agreement; AWS counts eligible Marketplace purchases toward Private Pricing commitments under the terms of your agreement. We confirm the specifics for your account before you accept.
First light is the moment the sun shows over the horizon. Our mark is that moment: a sliver of sun above the line, with the rest still to come.
