Your next automation platform can run the whole flow.
- It runs workflows, decisions, content, process mining and bots on one platform.
- It connects your workflows to AI agents, watsonx Orchestrate among them, through MCP.
- It carries your FileNet content forward by entitlement, repositories and applications intact.
The automation you run today may be serving you well. This is what Cloud Pak for Business Automation adds.
We size it with you. You see your price first, within one business day. Where you want to try it first, IBM offers a 30-day trial of Business Automation Workflow, and one of our engineers sets it up beside you.
From the first task to the record.
Work that moves on its own.
IBM says Business Automation Workflow runs work from first task to fully executed work, combining deterministic workflows with AI inside governed processes. It connects to AI agents through the Model Context Protocol.
Policies you test first.
Operational Decision Manager turns business rules into automated decisions, with testing and simulation against your scenarios before they run. IBM lists OpenShift, Certified Kubernetes, app servers, z/OS and SaaS among the places it runs.
Content governed where it lives.
IBM says FileNet Content Manager entitlements carry forward to Content Cortex with no rewrite. Content Cortex Premium adds agents for redaction and legal holds, with a person signing off and every change kept in an immutable audit log.

Two of IBM’s own figures.
Five capabilities.
IBM lists five in the platform: workflow automation, decision intelligence, intelligent content services, process mining and robotic process automation.
A 30-day trial.
IBM offers a 30-day trial of Business Automation Workflow, and a SaaS trial of the platform.
* Each figure and description is IBM’s, from its Cloud Pak for Business Automation, Content Cortex and Business Automation Workflow pages, read October 23, 2026. IBM states no test conditions for them.

Count it before you move.
IBM marks each deployment production or non-production, and FileNet Content Manager can be counted by concurrent or authorized users, reported to IBM License Service. Choose the capabilities you need, then we take the count with you before you order.

What you get.
If you own the processes and the applications.
You get workflows, decisions and bots on one platform, opened to AI agents through MCP. IBM offers a 30-day trial of Business Automation Workflow.* Our engineering team sets it up beside yours.
If you answer for records and compliance.
You get content governed where it lives, with agents for redaction and legal holds that route to a person for sign-off and record every change in an immutable audit log. Our engineering team sets it up with you.
If you are the CIO.
You get the move off version 25.0.1 planned against IBM’s published dates, with each deployment counted as production or non-production before you order. Pay only for what you need. See your price first, within one business day.
You have real choices. Here is each one, plainly.
Keep the automation you have.
Nothing to buy. Nothing to move. What Cloud Pak for Business Automation adds will still be here when you are ready.
Buy from IBM itself.
IBM sells directly to fewer than about 100 companies and organizations in the United States. Everyone else buys through an IBM Business Partner. So the real choice is which partner.
Buy through another IBM Business Partner.
Same IBM software. Same IBM programs. Ask three things: who counts your deployments, how soon you see the price, and who stays with you through the move to version 26.
Choose a different automation platform.
Right when your team already runs it everywhere. Compare three things: workflows and decisions on one platform, content governed where it lives, and AI agents working inside your processes.
Build it yourself, or use your cloud’s workflow tools.
Right for a few simple flows that live in one cloud, with no records to keep.
Buy it through us.
You get the same IBM software. And you get our engineering team: we choose the capabilities with you, count your deployments, show you your price first, and stay with you through setup and support.
IBM builds the platform. We size it with you.
You see your price first.
Tell us what you’re after. One business day later you have a price, sized to fit, with nothing in it you don’t need.
Our engineering team owns it.
The engineers who size it set it up and stay through support. IBM Business Partner since 2008, 29 of 29 IBM proficiencies, one team the whole way.

We would rather tell you now. Cloud Pak for Business Automation is not the fit if your processes are few and simple, if your platform is already on version 26 and nothing in it is changing, or if what you need is to connect applications rather than run the work between them.
