Your next automation can provision from code.

  • It provisions infrastructure from versioned code, from cloud services to on-premises data centers.
  • It shifts DNS traffic to healthy endpoints automatically, on a global anycast network.
  • It schedules containers, binary files and VMs in the cloud, on premises, at the edge.

The scripts and tools you run today may be serving you well. This is what Terraform, Nomad and NS1 Connect add.

We size it with you. You see your price first, within one business day. Where you want to try it first, IBM offers NS1 Connect free for 30 days, and one of our engineers sets it up beside you.

Provision, schedule and steer, as IBM describes them.

Provision as code.

IBM says Terraform codifies infrastructure and policies, which are shared, versioned and executed in one consistent workflow, from cloud services to on-premises data centers. HashiCorp adds drift detection and continuous validation.

Schedule any workload.

IBM says Nomad manages containers, binary files and VMs in the cloud, on premises and across edge environments.

Steer DNS on health.

IBM says NS1 Connect tracks endpoint health in real time and shifts traffic to healthy endpoints automatically. It integrates with Terraform, Ansible and CI/CD workflows to automate zone creation and policy updates.

Three products, three units: resources, servers and DNS queries.

HashiCorp prices HCP Terraform per resource, per month, rated hourly; Terraform Enterprise runs self-managed. Each server in a Nomad Enterprise cluster needs a license to start. We count your managed resources and servers with you before you order.

NS1 Connect, by DNS queries.

IBM measures NS1 Connect plans in DNS queries per month, with DNS records and health check monitors set per plan. We read your query volume with you and pick the plan. Where there is a cheaper route, we name it.

What you get.

If you run platform engineering.

You get infrastructure and policies as versioned code in one workflow, with drift detection, and Nomad scheduling containers, binary files and VMs. Our engineering team sets up your first workflows with you.

If you run the network and DNS.

You get managed DNS on 26+ points of presence,* with health checks that shift traffic to healthy endpoints and zones updated from Terraform or Ansible. Our engineering team sets it up with you.

If you are the CIO.

You get provisioning, scheduling and DNS from one IBM family, counted by resources, servers and DNS queries before you order. Pay only for what you need. See your price first, within one business day.

You have real choices. Here is each one, plainly.

Keep the tooling you have.

Nothing to buy. Nothing to move. What Terraform, Nomad and NS1 Connect add will still be here when you are ready.

Buy from IBM itself.

IBM sells directly to fewer than about 100 companies and organizations in the United States. Everyone else buys through an IBM Business Partner. So the real choice is which partner.

Buy through another IBM Business Partner.

Same IBM software. Same IBM programs. Ask three things: who counts your resources and DNS queries, how soon you see the price, and who stays with you through your first workflows.

Choose a different automation tool.

Right when your team already runs it everywhere. Compare three things: infrastructure and policies versioned in one workflow, drift detection, and DNS that shifts traffic on health checks.

Use your cloud provider’s own tools.

Right when everything you run lives in that one cloud. Not when your estate spans several clouds, your own data centers and the edge.

Buy it through us.

You get the same IBM software. And you get our engineering team: we count your resources and queries with you, show you your price first, and stay with you through setup and support.

IBM builds Terraform, Nomad and NS1 Connect. We size them with you.

You see your price first.

Tell us what you’re after. One business day later you have a price, sized to fit, with nothing in it you don’t need.

Our engineering team owns it.

The engineers who size it set it up and stay through support. IBM Business Partner since 2008, 29 of 29 IBM proficiencies, one team the whole way.

It is our pleasure to meet you.

230 briefing centers in 113 cities. Pick one; one of our engineers brings the coffee. Or meet us online.

Our engineering team counts your managed resources, Nomad servers and DNS queries with you, picks the plans, gets the licensing right, then sets them up and supports them.

It would be our pleasure to size yours.

We would rather tell you now. Terraform and NS1 Connect are not the fit if everything you run lives in one cloud and that cloud’s own templates and DNS cover it, or if what you need first is to right-size the resources already running. For that, ask us about Turbonomic. See IBM Turbonomic
